You hear people going to courts and legislature to reform and regulate laws and restriction on gun control. They say they do not want guns in the schools or on college campuses.
I randomly asked a series of ages 2-4, 8-12, 16 and 21. They were from all backgrounds and, colors and races. I asked them about bullying, assaults and three questions to see what they thought about guns and shootings in the schools and colleges.
I asked them separately what they thought about guns in the school. They answered that they were told that the “schools” are trying to get guns out of the “schools” and away from the children. Then I asked them if anyone ever told them it was wrong to bring a gun to school. Some answered yes; some answered no. I finally asked them if anyone ever told them not to bring guns to school. Here, right or wrong, they all answered the same: ” No.”
I asked if they knew what bullying was. They answered that they have heard it was wrong and should not be done.
I asked if anyone ever told them to not bully anyone. The answer again from just about all of them was “No.”
I asked if anyone ever told them about keeping their hands to themselves and not assault others. They all answered “No.”
I asked the males if they knew they were stronger than females. They all answered “Yes.”
I asked the males if they thought that hitting girls was wrong They answered a puzzled “No.”
I asked the females if they were told that a male hitting them was wrong. They answered “No.”
Final questions: “Does anyone ever talk to you about these things, ? Do they ever tell you right from wrong?” Do they ever tell you that all of these are illegal? Has anyone ever told you that any one of these acts is a crime?”
The answer; “No.”
