THE COBBLER AND THE KING

Two childhood friends  speak on what they want to be in life. One wants to be  a Cobbler (a maker of shoes) and the other wants to be a King.   After years  one friend, now King, request a pair of hand-made shoes after seeing beautiful craftsmanship on a neighboring king’s feet. The King desired a pair at any cost.  The childhood friend, now the requested Cobbler, traveled over many kingdoms to deliver the request.  The King greeted the Cobbler and boasted with pleasure after seeing the shoes. He slipped the shoes on and remarked that his feet never felt a finer shoe. But when the King recognized the Cobbler he quickly grew  troubled, worn and tired.  And  the Cobbler, who  seemed well and  filled with joy, noticed a change in his old friend.  Still, the Cobbler explained the financial  hardship he was having and asked for help.

The King paid  his old friend, now Cobbler, pennies for the shoes. And even then the King felt the pennies were too much to pay his long lost friend, as he complained the shoes looked like something a child made.  He said the shoes were uncomfortable and  hurt his feet.  The King laughed out loud, mocked his friend,  turned and walked away.

The King wanted the shoes at any cost before realizing his friend made them.   When the King realized the Cobbler was his childhood friend, pennies for the shoes, were thought too much.

We all have goals in life we wish to reach.  And we have life dreams we want to see come true.  The surprising reality of achievement is that there will always be those who, regardless of ALL the dreams they have fulfilled, want to see others with nothing.    The more you have the more they want to take.  And the less you have the less they want to see you with.  Don’t deny your dream to make someone comfortable.  People will tell you to your face what you “can’t have” and what you “don’t need”  and what you “shouldn’t want” and behind your back they rush to get what you told them you had and try their best to discourage you from  what you told them you want.  There are many who will tell others around you  to take what it is you said you need so you’re always in need  and never satisfied.

You want to be healthy, go for it.  You want to lose weight, go for it.  Don’t give your dream to anyone else; fulfill it!   So from cobbler to king, from weight loss to proper nutrition, make your own shoes, wear them well and walk.  Walk that walk toward life long fitness.

Remember To Eat Right With Good Proper Nutrition and Proper Healthy Fitness.
