A Hear to Hinks

Today with  every other device used to communicate our voices are becoming hard to hear.  With all of modern technology the art of listening , the art of talking and the art of hearing are three fading disciplines. A conversation with only two people turns into a monologue that is soon ignored or excused with a “never mind”.  There seems to be more said at a  funereal than at a family function where the guest of honour is silent.

Diet,  Fitness and Nutrition   all require attention and care.  It is important to hear what is being said,  listen to your own body and what it is telling you;  and  talking about  and/or through your difficulties.  You want to surround yourself with a good support team of those who listen and hear and talk. And yes there may not be many who listen, but you only need one.

A couple of days ago my sister met a friend named Hinks.  When my sister returned she told me of her meeting with the woman  name Hinks and how they talked and reminisced and planned. Hinks told my sister that “People just don’t listen today.”  I was absent from the reunion and all of the conversation.  I was physically miles away; yet when my sister returned I heard Hinks.  She reminded me that it is not the distance or time apart that separates one from another.  It is not the visual sight of a person that we truly identify.  It  is that  ageless spirit of a person  we recognize.  And this can only be done by communication.
